Talk about disappointment...

...I went to bed (although I was tossing and turning ALL night) expecting to wake up to a blanket of snow and a phone call saying we had a snow day. However, I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Extremely disappointing. Luckily, our weekend wasn't a disappointment.

Friday was like every other Friday night, the Scots club. We randomly ran into our friend Ryan on the way there so he joined us for some drinks and shuffleboard.

Saturday morning we went car shopping. As long as everything goes according to plan, we should have this within the next week or so:

After we went to the dealership we went to get cupcakes at the Sweet Avenue Bakeshop. I know the owner through mutual friends and lj, and I must say, the cupcakes were like none I've ever had before. They were delicious and she carries amazing flavors. The store itself is also adorable.

At night, we went out to the Melting Pot with Chris' aunts/uncles. It was amazing. We had the 4 course meal (cheese fondue, salad, meat course, and chocolate fondue course) The food was great and so were the drinks. They had 2 really interesting beers that we sampled: Banana Bread and Bacon. They were both surprisingly really good. After dinner we went to O'Donnell's for some blueberry beers and dirty Ho's (Hoegarden & raspberry beer).

Yesterday was the big Giants game. We went to Chris' grandma's house for her Sunday feast and to watch the game. The game was definitely a nail biter and everyone was thrilled for the outcome.

So all in all, the weekend was really successful.

Yeah, even I was disappointed and I knew that I was going to have work anyway. I kept thinking of all the poor students and teachers!
