School's out
So I'm done with school until September! The last day was fun and I didn't really do anything. I got some cute gifts from my kids last week (2 $25 B & N giftcards, a 4th of July t-shirt, bath oil, bookmarks, flowers, and a frame) and a bottle of wine and a frame from 2 co-workers. I also got my summer checks which are pretty much already spent (for the wedding). I got my sick day check too which is very nice.
Yesterday Matt, Smoogs, and Michelle came over. We sat around, drank beers, and bs'd. I must say I did an AWESOME job on cleaning the apt., Chris was shocked that I got so much done. Then we went to a bar in Newark, Hell's Kitchen, that was decked out in pinup/rockabilly attire. The music was all of the stuff we listen to: New Order, the Rapture, 80's tunes...We're convinced that it used to be a gentleman's club being there's a pole in the middle of the place. The drink prices were like the city. They had a JD special, $5 drinks and $3 shots. I had a Jack & Ginger being they didn't have any beers that I like and I didn't feel like wasting $4.50 on a Coors light. We got home around 1:45 and had cheese quesadillas in bed. We're very classy.
Tonight is Chris' cousin Bree's high school graduation. Who knows where the rest of the night will take us? I think we're going to look at rings tomorrow for Chris and then a soccer game (this time for real! haha). Next week I'm getting my hair done! No more flat iron, woo!
Let the summer begin!
