Put your sunglasses on, no one will see you dance

So it's the end of the long holiday weekend which was awesome. Here's a recap:

Thursday night we went to Arlene's Grocery in the city to see Tim's band play. That venue is awesome so we'll definitely be back.

Friday was the Sonic Youth show at Battery Park. We had the worst pizza ever being there's nothing to eat in that area. The show was good except for a few sprinkles, it was people watching to the max. After the show we went to Lucky Strike for some food. It was good, but it was hella expensive. After that was Toad Hall which is way more exciting during the day. Then we found this gem called the Horseshoe bar. Tons of cheap drinks, an amazing jukebox, and a photobooth. After that we ventured to the Trash party (Rififi, but at a new venue) for some dancing on the stage.

Yesterday was the Brooklyn Brewery. We headed over with Chris' aunt and uncle for cheap brews and a tour which was ok. After that we went to the German Biergarten for some food and steins of beer. Then we headed back to Manhattan to a sweet dive called Johnny's. We definitely made our presence known there, taking over the jukebox and ridding the place of a crowd of annoying pretentious (stating the obvious) hipsters by dancing like an asshole and telling them to "put your sunglasses on, no one will see you dance". We met some cool people there who actually enjoyed our entertainment. Then the 6 of us piled into the most cramped cab ride home back to Jersey. We ended the night at Chris' aunt/uncle's house dancing to the Beach Boys.

So it's obvious to say that we tied on a ripper this weekend.
