Holy Eff
What a friggin night. Wow! Let's see...hit up Maxwell's and grabbed a good seat at the bar. As we were finishing up our pints of Blue Moon, Chris sees Jeremy and his gf Tricia. We sit around and drink some more with them. Tim Kasher (the singer of Cursive) was standing right next to us on his phone.
So we venture to the very empty back room where we happen to know all 3 people working/standing at the door: Eric, John, and Geoff (from Thursday, yeah, that's right, we just name-dropped). Daylights For The Birds were playing. They were pretty good, they covered "Umbrella" which was interesting. We're also about 99.9% sure that the singer from the Shins was in the back room.
Cursive was amazing! They did play "Staying Alive"and went right into "A Gentleman Caller" which was double the amount of "Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo,doo's...the worst is over" sing alongs being it's repeated in both songs. I was a little too drunk and managed to forget a lot of the lyrics.
After the show we drank some more and Tricia and I got a few pictures of us with (harassing) Tim. He definitely remembered the many other pictures that we took with him and he's like, "You're the one that's getting married, good luck." Thanks to us, Cursive will probably never want to play Maxwell's again. Yeah.
Matt met up with us with his friend Andrew and we got into the sold out Electric Six show thanks to us knowing the door guys. Chris and I left before their 1st song being we were ready to pass out. All in all, the night ruled. We'll post pics soon, Tricia is going to email me a bunch.
More partying tonight, our livers are going to HATE us. Seriously.
