Snakes...in a box!

What is going on in this picture. Chris and Dreia are making animal ears? lol:



Not sure if any of you know, but my mom works at an animal shelter. A few days ago, one of her co-workers found a box by his car that was labeled "snakes". So he took a peek in and guess what it was...4 boaconstrictors! Insane! I guess someone abandoned them so they took they into the shelter and they were adopted.

Speaking of snakes, I have this story from childhood that explains my fear of snakes, only to learn that they weren't snakes. When my parents used to take my brother and I to the park or the store, if it had just rained, these "snakes" would come out of the soil by this one house. So as I was talking to my mom about it, she told me that they weren't snakes, they were....worms! Wow, I'm an asshole. So basically my fear of snakes is made up? Yeah.

I have off of work today, tomorrow, and Monday. Woo hoo, 5 day weekend! Today I'm running errands with my mom and at night, Chris and I are going to see Jill's brother's band, Steel Train at the Bowery Ballroom. Chris and I really like that venue, it's got an awesome bar, I wish it was open everyday. We're so psyched to see Jill and Tim. Last time we saw them was also at her brother's show and she was sick and I was getting my wisdom teeth out the next day. Tonight we're partying, no excuses.

The rest of the weekend will be fun too. Tomorrow we're going to dinner with Mon and Mike and on Saturday we have Lisa/Danielle/Gary's housewarming party part 2. Maybe the mall again on Monday so Chris can exchange his jeans. We'll see.
